In previous posts, we touched on the theme of this post—Accountability.

After setting resolutions, both on an individual level and an entire company level, it would be foolish to not set up a plan for keeping track of progress with those goals. By planning ahead for times throughout the year that resolutions can be revisited and re-evaluated, you decrease the risk of missed opportunities and falling back into old habits.
Along with setting dates for tracking progress (we recommend on a quarterly basis) you should take time during company meetings to remind your employees to stay focused on their individual goals. A simple reminder goes a long way in keeping your personnel motivated and in-check without being overbearing.
Finally, it is important for you as the business leader, to set an example for your company and employees. As the saying goes, “Actions speak louder than words.” Allow your employees to hold you accountable for your own personal resolutions and you will create a sense of community and foster relationships among all levels of personnel, which will also ultimately create harmony and success for your business in 2012.
